It's been real and it's been fun...
I hope everyone had as much fun in class this semester as I did. Good luck to everybody on the rest of their finals and for everyone who got into Block C I'll see you next semester(hopefully) and if I can't get moved to C I'll see everyone who got into Block A next semester. Have a safe and wonderful summer.

snopes.com
We were talking in class about a website that proves or disproves rumors, scams and urban legends. The site is called snopes and can be found at the following link, which will be posted to the "helpful links" site: www.snopes.com
Web Tools
Well, that was fun. That's really cool how all these tools are available for us on the internet. It definitly will make our job easier, although it may take away a little originality. I really liked the PBL checklist. It was very user friendly and it gave me lots of new ideas for the rubric. I didn't like the Big Bus Testmaker, though. It just wasn't as cool as I thought it would be.

Money, money, money
Well, that was interesting. For those of you wondering what the big announcement that Dr. Saunders had for everyone, it was indeed good news as Dr. Juneau pointed out. An anonymous donor donated $6,000,000 to the school. Yes, that's right, SIX MILLION! The only stipulation is that Five Million is to be used for scholarships. I wonder how I can get a few grand out of that?! Any scholarships for elementary school majors? And check it out, I'm in the picture!

Oh, boy, I bombed that one...
Wow. Just checked my email and saw my test score for my midterm. Yeah, I'll be retesting. How cool is it that we get to do that, though? Juneau, Ju Rock!

Question 10
10. What are some of the strategies for keeping the documents of a Website organized?
One of the most important strategy a designer can use is the concept map. By mapping out the layout of the website first, the pages will be easier to navigate and a browser can find the information that they are looking for quicker. Another strategy is to use links to keep from having too much information on one page, especially if the information can be a stand alone topic.

Question 1
1. How does an understanding of computer terminology assist a student with successful operation of current computer hardware components?
A student (or anyone, really) will have more success with operating a computer when they have a better understanding of the terminology. For instance, if a student buys a new program for a class, the student will not be able to install the program or use it successfully if he or she has no idea what a "CD Rom" or "DVD Rom" is. If the instillation of the program calls for a download, the student will need to know what a download is to begin with. If the student does not know what the terminology means then they will be as lost as a supermodel at a Star Trek convention.
